Laney College Learning Resource Center

This project will construct a new Library and Learning Resource Center that will also serve as a gateway to the campus from Parking Lot A along 7th Street. The project will be funded with a blend of State and Local Measure G Bond Funds.

 

Laney College Theater Modernization

This project modernizes the Theater building to better serve the current needs of the students, increasing seating capacity, provides new theater/rehearsal support spaces, and increases efficiency and effectiveness of existing teaching spaces. The modernization will include comprehensive accessibility improvements. The project will be funded with a blend of State and Local Measure G Bond Funds.

Laney College Locker Room

The proposed design celebrates women and female athletes of Laney College by placing their functions centrally in the space, while improving visibility and security. The design incorporates gender-neutral facilities. The project will be funded with a blend of State and Local Measure A and G Bond Funds.

Central Utility Plan

The project includes the replacement of the existing chillers, boilers and cooling towers, demolition of the existing cooling towers and supports, repair or replacement of associated pumps, piping, valves and a new Building Automation System. The new chillers and boilers will be located in the existing Central Plant in Building E and the new cooling towers will be located in a new enclosure, provided by the DBE, south of Building F. New piping to be included from new cooling tower location to Building E.

Infrastructure Improvements

Civil Infrastructure projects generally include site improvements to each campus such as roads, pathways, parking, bike lanes, trails, ingress/egress access, and landscaping.  They may also include improvements to utility systems including sewer, power/electrical/renewable, water, security, and heating/ventilation/air conditioning systems.  These projects are being defined and will be posted here as they are approved to move forward.
